Healthy Aging and the Anti-Inflammatory Diet
Inflammation is now recognized as a common contributor to a range of chronic health problems, including many that we associate with aging. Heart disease, cognitive decline and dementia, cancer, arthritis, colitis, asthma, and even depression are among the wide array of ailments rooted in inflammation. In this class, we will explore how and why inflammation occurs, how to identify food sensitivities that may be contributing to inflammation and poor health, and some dietary and herbal therapies that can help reduce the burden of inflammation and promote health.
