About Dr. Williams
After finishing my naturopathic doctorate at Bastyr University in 1995, I lived and practiced in Vermont for 13 years. I immigrated with my family to Canada in 2008 and we now live on Cortes Island in BC. I am grateful to be able to offer naturopathic care in my Tiber Bay office as well as through the Klahoose Health Centre. Because of the remote nature of our community, I also offer in-home consultations.
The foundation of my practice is whole foods therapeutic nutrition, upon which the other therapies of naturopathic medicine—herbal medicine, homeopathy, counseling, and hydrotherapy—can build and sustain health. I see patients of all ages with all kinds of health issues, and have special expertise in healthy aging and seniors’ health care.
My practice is informed by the research I do for the other facets of my professional life: writing and teaching.
I have been writing regularly for Healthnotes Newswire since 1999, providing easy to read articles based on studies from the scientific literature encompassing the most current natural medicine research. I also write science-based articles about natural medicine for books, websites and community publications. My teaching experience includes providing lectures and workshops on health, nutrition and herbal medicine for both professional and public audiences. I have also taught full-length courses on nutrition, herbal medicine, and health sciences.
I welcome you to contact me if you think my services might be useful for you.
